Every Item comes with our hologram on the back this is our form of c.o.a known as a Certificate of Authenticity, which is your assurance that what you purchase is 100% Genuine and from only us.

Independent Authentication

At Shanks Autographs, authenticity and customer confidence are at the heart of everything we do. Many of our high-value items are independently certified by internationally recognised authentication companies, including Beckett Authentication Services (BAS) and James Spence Authentication (JSA).

Although Beckett and JSA are based outside the UK, we are also proud to work with ACGcert—one of the UK’s most promising and trusted independent autograph authentication services.

If you are interested in an item that has not yet been independently authenticated, we can arrange certification—often within 24 hours, subject to availability—through either:

GRAD Authentication
Founded by Steve Grad, a leading name in autograph authentication and former principal authenticator at Beckett. Successfully authenticated items receive a digital Letter of Authenticity.

ACGcert
A trusted UK-based authentication service providing independent examination, certification and added peace of mind for collectors.

If you would like an item certified, please contact us before purchasing or immediately after placing your order. Let us know which authentication service you would prefer, and we will confirm the cost and estimated turnaround time.

If an item does not pass independent authentication, you may choose to cancel the purchase and receive a full refund or continue with the order after being fully informed of the result.
